Experience Matters!

I am very active in AKC Conformation competition, and have attained numerous AKC Champion and Grand Champion titles on many dogs over the years.  In Keeshonden I received a Register of Merit award for excellence as a producer of Champions, and a 25-year pin for my long membership in the Keeshond Club of America (KCA).

I am also a member of the Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America (ISAA), and am a past ISAA officer and Board member.  I served as ISAA Committee Chair for the Kentuckiana Cluster in 2022, 2023, and 2024.  I served as Committee Chair for the ISAA National Specialty in 2022 and 2023, and am the ISAA National Specialty Show Chair for 2025.  I have held various Officer and Board positions for multiple years in both the KCA and my local all-breed club.

I have been an instructor for Conformation & Handling classes for many years, and have judged multiple puppy matches.  As an instructor, I enjoy helping owners introduce their dogs to the show ring for the first time, but also enjoy teaching experienced handlers new ways to connect with their dogs.

MY MISSION

My kennel, VALI ICELANDICS, is keenly focused on breeding sound minds in sound bodies.  Health & temperament testing, extensive socialization experiences, and positive training methods support this mission.  I am proud of my past experience, accomplishments, and credentials, but continue to look forward for opportunities to add to my education, knowledge and practice.
